Dorothy Jean Koop

Dorothy Jean Koop, age 85, of Jenison, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; grandson, Andrew Koop; parents, James and Jenny Dykstra; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerrit and Mae Koop; sister and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Harvey Haverkamp, and Gerald Koop. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mike and Beth Koop, Doug and Shelley Koop, Steve and Sheri Koop, Tim and Angela Koop; grandchildren, Curtis Jon and Michelle Koop, Ryan and Ashley Koop, Wagner Koop, Bethany Koop, Brianne and Jeromy Mingerink, Cody and Shelbie Koop, Suzannah Koop, Shelby and Jarryd Montgomery, Carly Koop, and Sam Koop; nine great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elaine Koop, Rick and Marilyn Koop, Tom and Marilyn Koop, Nancy Haliburton, Dave Koop; many nieces and nephews. Dorothy loved her kids, and grandkids; especially those great-grandkids. Our mother was a mom in every way she needed to be. She loved the Lord and was dedicated to raising her four boys in the Christian faith. She faithfully attended their events and always stood by their side. Dorothy was an active member of Ridgewood CRC and enjoyed volunteering at Love Inc and Crossroad Ministries to name a few. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 28,2022, at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, 1571 Baldwin St., Jenison with Pastor Joel Boot officiating. Burial Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, September 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
