Dorothy Holst

Dorothy Holst, age 95, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 13, 2019. Dorothy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved playing a variation of cards games with her many friends. She was dedicated to her family and friends and also served in the Navy during the Second World War. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; granddaughter Kimberly Holst, sister Bernice Boomgaard; She will be lovingly remembered by two sons; Richard and Joanne Holst of Chattanooga, TN, James and Dianne Holst of Jenison, MI; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Becky Holst, Rebecca and Paul Matthews, Robert and Jammi Holst, Katherine and Matthew Test, Christine Holst and Kelly Haley, and Nicholas Holst; five great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Waleszkiewicz; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019, 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr. with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating.  Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Cottonwood Church and Spectrum Health Hospice.
