Dorothy “Dottie” Marie Higdon

Dorothy “Dottie” Marie Higdon, age 63, of Cedar Creek, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed peacefully at her home, with her husband at her side, in the early morning hours on May 5, 2023. Dottie was born to the late Ronald and Delores Tilley on August 24, 1959. At the age of 18, she met Jim Higdon, whom she married three years later on February 11, 1981. Together they recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Dottie dedicated her time to remain home and raise their three boys. She loved puppy dogs, crocheting, and Chinese food. She also loved the outdoors, whether camping, swimming or gardening. Her passions in life were her faith and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Delores Tilley. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jim Higdon; children, A.J. (Holly) Higdon of DePere, Wisconsin, Ron Higdon of Cedar Creek, Elmer (Anquinnette) Higdon of Cedar Creek; grandchildren: Josh, Dayquana, Jayden, Ashley and Brandon; brother, Terry Tilley; sisters, Barb Livingston and Lori Coe; many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Hickory Corners Bible Church, 13720 Kellogg School Road, Hickory Corners, with Pastor Jeff Worden Jr. officiating. A luncheon reception will follow in the church hall.
