Doris L. Barksdale

Doris Barksdale, age 85 of Byron Center, was called to her heavenly home, Tuesday, April 28, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jay) Barksdale, her grandson, Tommy, one brother and three sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rick and Sally Barksdale, Steve and Barb Barksdale, Debbie and Tom Kloosterman, Candace and Mike Menzel; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Crowe, Opal Johnson; brother-in-law, Bill and Margie Barksdale; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday at Grandville Church of Christ, 3725 44th St SW with Pastor Russ Holden officiating. Interment Graceland Memorial Park. The family will meet relatives and friends Friday 5-8pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming and Saturday one hour prior to the service at church. Memorial contributions may be made to Grandville Church of Christ.
