Doris Groelsma, born October 29, 1941, passed away October 31, 2026, held by the loving hand of her devoted husband of 67 years, Ronald Groelsma. A faithful woman devoted to God and her family, Doris was known for her kindness, compassion, and caring heart. Throughout her life, she served others as a school bus driver, talented seamstress, and loving caretaker to all who crossed her path. 

Doris leaves behind her beloved husband, Ronald; their four sons, Ronald Groelsma II and Ann Hirdes, Mike and Angela Groelsma, Vernon and Beth Groelsma, Brian and Ingrid Groelsma; grandchildren: Shell and Brandon Borst, Christopher and Samantha Groelsma, Kaila and John De Groot, Jessica and Tom Guiles, Courtney Worthing and fiancé Mark Gainor, Anuhea Groelsma, Keala’alohi Groelsma; 14 beautiful great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ken Groelsma, Harold and Beth Groelsma, Barbara Groelsma; several nieces and  nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Diane Lynn and Charmyn. Her love, faith, and compassion touched countless lives and will live on through the generations she leaves behind. Doris has gone home to the arms of her Lord and Savior, where she is at peace and free from suffering. Though deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who love her. May she rest in eternal peace, forever loved and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Baldwin St. Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison with Pastor Tim Vreeman officiating. Burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 5 to 7 at the church and on Thursday from 10-10:45 prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Unity Christian High School.
