Doris Baas

Doris Rica Baas, age 97, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, John T. Baas; daughter, Sandi Jester; daughters-in-law, Sande Baas, and Heidi Baas; siblings, Martin and Betty Brinks, Ralph and Anne Brinks, Jay and Marie Brinks, Edna Brinks, Rosie Brinks, Faye and Roland DeKraker, Lee Brinks, Ernest Brinks; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Orie and Jeanette Baas, Dick and Agnes Dykstra, Bert Workman, Jim and Rica DeKraker, George and Aramintha Visser, Ralph and Anne Baas, Ralph and Anne Brinks, Ray and Arianna Baas, Chris and Tena DeKorver, Harvey Baas, Eleanor Baas; and dear friend, Johanna Bomers.  She is survived by her children, Ken Baas, Barbara and Bert Armstrong, Phil and Renae Baas; son-in-law, Bob Jester; grandchildren, Ken and Lisa Baas, Kari and Vince Douma, Susie and Rob Shultz, Laura and Keith Gibson, Jodi and Chris Bast, Jennifer and Bill Loveless, Jeremy and Kara Wilterink, Michael Arbogast, Travis and Kelly Arbogast, Sara and Mike Spinelli, Lisa and Victor Kuiper, Andy and Ruth Baas, Casey and Sara Baas, Jori Baas, Alaina Baas, and Jonathan Baas; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Brinks, Gordon Brinks; sisters-in-law, Barb Brinks, Mick Baas.  The family wishes to express their thanks to the nurses of Sunset Manor and Faith Hospice for their attentive care.  A graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (2894 Patterson Ave. SE, Grand Rapids) on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 9:30 a.m, with Rev. Ronald VanOverloop officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Adams Christian School.
