I am very sad to hear of Donna's passing. She was always a good friend of mine though out our school days at Jenison Public Schools. I will miss her, as will the Alumni of JHS'73 .

Donna will be missed by so many. She touched the lives of many students and their families over the years. She was a favorite teacher of all three of our children. Her deep and abiding faith and love of God radiated through her life allowing her to teach with a special grace. The hours she spent praying for others were a testament to her warrior spirit. The Ms Whitcomb shaped hole that is left in every life she touched is made easier to bear going forward knowing that she is happy, healthy, and whole safe in the arms of Jesus. We will meet and talk and laugh together again when she greets each of us at the gates of heaven. But until then Donna says it’s ok ♥️

To all the family of Donna. I am very sad to know she lost her fight to the cancer but she won the race and was welcomed home by our great God. While Fred just also ran his race and entered 4 weeks ago I am quite certain he has become official greeter and he was there to meet Donna. We go back to 1981 and shared our joys and pain for so many years. Love you all and will cherish what we all remember of the sweet Donna. My prayers are with you 🙏❤️🙏😢💔

Dear Gaylord and Wayne and families,
Your whole family are my second family. Donna stood by me while many others walked away! Fred and I were so honored to have her be my Maid of Honor in our wedding April 28, 1984. I am praising God I got to go visit her on August 15th - before she started her treatments. We laughed and talked and talked and prayed and sang ... yes!!! We sang!!! And now she is resting and singing praises to JESUS!!! I can never thank Jesus enough for bringing her and all of you into our lives ! My heart breaks for all of you!!! Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers and hearts FOREVER!
