Donna Marie Firestine

DONNA MARIE FIRESTINE, 87, passed away on February 10, 2019 after a short illness. Donna was a faithful wife and mother. She devoted herself to raising her three children while maintaining high involvement in her church and community. She enjoyed hobbies such as cooking, gardening, painting and sewing. In the ‘70s she initiated the Metamora Little League Baseball and led that organization for several years. Donna is survived by her three children Brad Firestine, Dwayne Firestine and Denise (Firestine) Shaw as well has her grandchildren Just’n Firestine, Sean Firestine, Sonya Shaw, Nicholai Shaw, Richele Shaw, Alexei Shaw and Addisyn Firestine. She is also survived by her sister Pauline Russell. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, George Firestine and parents Charles and Marie Papenfus. A private family Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Hunter’s Creek Community Church (2471 Metamora Road, Lapeer, MI 48446) in lieu of Flowers.
