Donna Mae Vitale

Donna Vitale,  age 84 of Grand Rapids, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026.  She loved spending time with her family.  She also loved crafting, sewing, card making, and baking.  Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, Andrew; children: Laura and Ted Engstrom, Renee and Dave Mead, Christine and Dave Ward, Anthony Vitale, Andrew Vitale Jr.; grandchildren: Tasha Vitale, Brandon Engstrom, David (Vestita) Ward, Andrew (Heather) Vitale III, Kyle (Amanda) Engstrom, Travis (Rachel) Ward, Anthony (Megan) Vitale, Stephanie Covington, Timothy Jones,  Taylor (Emely) Vitale, Brittany (Corbin) Thompson, Mackenzie Vitale, Alyssa Vitale and Cody Teliczan, Alyson Vitale (fiancé, Austin Andrews); 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters: Anne (Jack) Mikulich, Cathy Cole; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Nettie Van Oeveren, Anthony and Mary Vitale.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m., on Tuesday, April 14, 2026  at  St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier officiating.  Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at  the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Mecosta County Optimist Club.
