Donna Klungle

KLUNGLE (Lamoreaux) - Donna A. Klungle aged 69 of Grand Rapids went to be with her Lord Friday, February 20, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ardis Lamoreaux; father-in-law, John Klungle; brother-in-law, Donn Perkins; niece, Toni Perkins; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and Cherie Gleason. Surviving are her husband, Lynn E. Klungle; daughters, Julie (Dana) Kleinjans, Cynthia (Terry) Thenikl, Dawn (Neal) Kooiman; grandchildren, Cody and Lindsay Kleinjans, Tyler and Joseph Thenikl, Mitchell, Katelin and Holly Kooiman; her twin brother, Donald (Mary Jo) Lamoreaux; sisters, Carolyn (Lou) Sabin, Pamela Perkins, Alice (Tom) Matthews; mother-in-law, Nina Klungle; many nieces and nephews. Donna retired from Spectrum Health Butterworth after more than 30 years as a surgical RN. She was an active Alumni of the Butterworth School of Nursing and in retirement she volunteered on the PFAC (Patient Family Advisory Council). Singing was a big part of Donna's life. She sang in many different groups over the years. She loved singing! Those who knew Donna, knew her family was the most important thing in her life. She always had a smile, a wonderful sense of humor, and enjoyed making others laugh. Donna was a faithful member of St. Jude's Catholic Church, where her services will be held. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM Friday, February 27, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1120 - 4 Mile Rd. NE. Her family will greet relatives and friends Thursday from 1PM to 3PM and 5PM to 8PM at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE., and one hour prior to Mass on Friday at the Church. Interment Plainfield Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Butterworth School of Nursing Alumni, Scholarship Fund through the Spectrum Health Foundation.
