Donna Jean Aukeman

Donna Jean (Johnson) Aukeman, age 93, of Grandville, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Donna was a strong woman of faith who persevered through many life challenges and loss. She was blessed with an independent spirit and was an inspiration to many. Over the years she enjoyed travelling and was an avid golfer. Donna worked for 34 years at Borgman Ford as a receptionist and phone operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and her son, Eric Aukeman. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dianne “Dee” and Bob Voetberg, Dean Aukeman and Robin Savino; grandchildren, Caryn and Rick Schohl, Kym and Dale Ensign, Jennifer and Chad Timmer, Kristen Aukeman, Morgan and Ben Sneller; great-grandchildren; Brock, and Jared Schwartz, Kayla Schohl, Daryann and Craig Holbrook, Cameron, and Aubree Ensign, Taylor and Alexa Timmer, Lotte Sneller; great-great-granddaughter, Brynlee Holbrook; one brother-in-law and four sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend and caregiver, Dawn Vruggink. A private family service will be held at the funeral home with Rev. Dale Fopma officiating. Burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery.
