Donna Holzgen

HOLZGEN - Donna W. Holzgen (86) passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011. Donna was born to Frank and Elizabeth Pitsch on Monday, November 24, 1924. She married Gordon P. Holzgen on April 19, 1947. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1998. Her parents and her precious grandson Forris also preceded her in death. Also preceding her were her sisters Jean and Berdine and brother Chester. Her children, Thomas G. (Judith H.) Holzgen, Judith K. Holzgen and Kevin M. (Elizabeth) Holzgen, survive her. Her grandchildren, Arleigh-Anne Holzgen, Blitz Holzgen, Evan Holzgen and Dawn Fox, will lovingly remember her. She is also survived by her brother, Forris (Berdean) Pitsch, sisters Marge (Steve) Velicky and Modesta Stein along with many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind many special friends at Maple Villa Condominiums including Jim and Betty, Betty and Nancy, Carla, Terry and Ashley and Judy. Her long time friend, Lana, will also remember her. Funeral services for Donna will be at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Visitation will be Monday January 24, 2011 from 2:00 pm. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Expression of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
