Donald Wagner

Donald George Wagner, aged 96 of Grand Rapids was taken to his heavenly home on Friday, November 17, 2017. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl (Mildred) and Edwin. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years, Rita (Meier); his children, Karen and Vincent Inosencio, Brian and Sherri Wagner; grandchildren, Renee (Richard) Kent, T.J. (Nichole) Andree, Kelly (James) DeFrell, Christopher (Nicole) Wagner, Janelle (Donald) Doyle, Jacob Andree, Doni Inosencio, Joshua Andree; many great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Eileen Wagner, Isadora Meier; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Donald was a devout Catholic who loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a kind, loving, charitable man who thoroughly enjoyed sharing his knowledge and wisdom. Don grew up on a farm in Harbor Creek and became a Master Gardner putting his knowledge into practice growing beautiful gardens. The family would like to acknowledge and thank his beloved caregivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday at 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth Ave. SE with Fr. Troy Nevins celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Wyoming), 4031 Clyde Park SW on Tuesday from 6-8 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:30 pm. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
