Donald Stegenga

STEGENGA - Mr. Donald G. Stegenga, aged 94 formerly of Wyoming, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cheryl. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Marjorie; sons, John L. "Lee" (Vicki Jesus) Stegenga, Robert "Bob" (Renee) Stegenga; grandchildren, Troy (Gina) Stegenga, Jennifer (Jeff) Horon; great grandchildren, Seamus, Rhiannan, Sophie, Elsbeth; sister-in-law, Marilyn Stegenga; several nieces and nephews here as well as Australia. Donald loved golf, fishing, winters in Florida and living on the lake near Newaygo. He retired from Purity Cylinder and Gases after 35 years of service, was a Mason, and a member of the VFW and DAV. Don was proud to have served his country during WWII in the South Pacific. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 8 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. The family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
