We had such a nice time with him at the camping trip and he kept telling me how he loved to be around all the family interaction..he kept saying he'd see us next year unless Jesus reappeared. Good to know he's with Jesus now and a part of God's big family. Joannah Gtchel Sheldon

What a joyful, giving and wonderful man! Don gave so much to this community through his car ministry. He taught people how to maintain their cars to save them money, provided oil changes to those who were in the Life Skills Classes, and so so so much more! We will miss his smiles. Dear Don, forgive me for not speaking up at your funeral today. There were so many times you came to our rescue, I thank God for every memory of you; like the time we broke down in Lansing and you came all the way from Allendale to load us up and take us back home. Who else would do that? You took your time to coach our son, Joel, with his car repair. You kept our daughters' cars in roadsafe condition and when Emily drove her car into the swale on our property, it was you who came to our rescue. Always with a smile, a chuckle, and a listening ear as we answered your question." How did it happen this time?" I'm so glad for the time we had with you and Cindy at the campground and you stayed up late playing with the kids, Euchre,Rummy and Sequence. You were a blessing to Rob, talking of the things you both care deeply for; your faith, your family and freedom. Your faith has won your freedom and we will continue to pray for your family. We will miss your rhythmic knock at the back door, We would all say in unison with a smile:) "It's Don" we are eternally grateful for your friendship; the Austin family Anonymous
