I've never cared much for social media and because of this news tends to reach me later than I'd like... I just found out that Don passed away and I'm completely heartbroken. Don and I met in little league and we became close in Junior High and High School. We made many memories together (and some that are a little fuzzy). A couple of years after graduation I moved out of state. Don was right there to send me off. Big smiles, big hugs, and some tears too. I remember Don being strong (stubborn?), determined, and fiercely loyal. But if you knew him you knew that he was also incredibly caring, compassionate, and he had a big heart. He wrote me a letter when I left and in it he mentioned his fear of our friendship fading with time. That was 20 years ago. I wish I could say otherwise but he was right. Life happened and we slowly drifted apart. I thought about him often and I wish I would have done more to reconnect over the years. It seemed that there was always something going on (life) and it just never happened. This is something I will always deeply regret. I'm sorry I missed out on so many years Don. RIP old friend... you have truly touched my life and I'm a better person for having known you.

Sadly to hear the news of your passing. I remember we use have good conversations and jokes when we work together at Dayton. May God give you peace and rest Don.

I worked with Don for a lot of years. In the past Year I've gotten to know him pretty well. He was a hard worker, not only at work, but also working around his house and building his pole barn. He often shared many stories of the time spent with his wife and children. My thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. Rest in peace my friend.

We had the pleasure of meeting Don and Jenna at Isaac and Morgan’s wedding in June, 2021. It was a nice opportunity to get to know them. We’re saddened to hear of Don’s passing. May you feel God’s love and comfort at such a difficult time. Praying for your entire family and for all of your friends to also feel God’s peace that passes all understanding.
