MEYERS - Donald Edward Meyers, age 87, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, Don is now at peace and his confusion is over. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter Meyers and Raymond Clausen and sister, Geri Taylor-Petty. Donald is survived by his wife of 67 years, Waneta Meyers; children, Linda (Tim) Sarber, Mark (Robin) Meyers, David (Lynn) Meyers, Nancy (Rick) Manshaem; grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Aldrich, Mandy (John) VanderBaan, Scott (Ann) Sarber, Amy (Matt) Wierenga, Jason (Rachel) Meyers, Greg (Jen) Meyers, Jenni (Justin) Bajema, Josh (Trish) Meyers, Jeremy Meyers, Jessi (Will) Burtt, Andy (Tracy) Manshaem, Keaton (Brittany) Manshaem, Beccie (Will Larsen) Manshaem; 20 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mutts Clausen; sisters, Pauline Ingersoll, Chris Christopolis, Carla Driver, Kaye (Dave) Chamberlain, Connie (Lou) Schultz and Cheryl Meyers. Donald retired from LSI after 35 years of service. Golf was a passion before but definitely after he retired. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 9 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont. Donald's family will greet relatives and friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Kindred Hospice.
