My great-uncle Don was a fantastic man. I just loved him dearly. I remember the times he'd come to my grandparents (Herb and Ruth Koster) to visit. His laugh was contagious. I too wish I would've found out earlier on this so I could've attended his funeral. I hope all the fond memories that built over time has helped you through the difficult days. I too hope my grandpa Herb and Uncle Don are doing some fishing in heaven. God bless the family and close friends.

Mike and Deb: it was so sad to hear of Uncle Don's passing. We are both truly sorry to hear this. I wish we could have been notified so we could have attended his funeral. He was such a wonderful man. He and my father, Herb were the best of friends and they even dressed and looked so much alike. He always had a kind word for everyone and he always was smiling and joking when we would visit him. He was an awesome gardener and always shared his vegetables with us. I hope he and Dad are up in heaven fishing away and enjoying the good life.

We are Don's Neighbors across the street from him. So sorry for you loss, he was such a nice guy and a great neighbor. I grew up next to Don for 25+ years. I always admired his yard and how he kept it up. Also loved how he always got out and rode his bike and used to fish everyday.. always waved and always smiled.. he will be missed by his neighbors. If you should ever need anything give a call we are right across the street. 616-813-7138. God Bless. Joe Kluting.
