Donald Kloosterhouse

Donald Henry Kloosterhouse, age 80, of Marne, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Don was considered an expert in his field of engineering with conveyor systems. He was a true outdoorsman and also volunteered as an archery instructor for the Calvinist Cadet Corps International Camporee. With any project he would give his all in everything, often going above and beyond. He was a member of North Blendon Christian Reformed Church. Don will be remembered for his love for the outdoors and the many ways he would pass on his knowledge and wisdom to family, grandchildren, and friends. He will be greatly missed for his faith, friendship, and love for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Kloosterhouse. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Steve and Ellen Kloosterhouse, Mike and Julie Kloosterhouse, Sheri and Brian Bronkema; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marcia and Rev. Al Petroelje, Karen and Gary Hirdes, Rick and Sharon Kloosterhouse; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger and Yvonne Boomsma, Larry Boomsma, Ellen and Rev. John Rop, Dave and Barbro Boomsma, Doug and Shelli Boomsma; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 11 a.m. at North Blendon Christian Reformed Church, 7284 Taylor St., Hudsonville. Friends and relatives may meet the family for visitation on Wednesday, April 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the church as well as an hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
