Donald Jay Kortman, age 56, of Richland, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Don was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Don worked in the trucking parts industry for nearly 40 years and spent the last 13 years as Vice President of Parts for M&K Truck Centers. Don enjoyed spending time with his family on the lake, golfing with his wife Tammy, and spending the spring and summer gardening and landscaping around his house. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Gerrit and Virginia Kortman; brother, Jim Kortman; sister-in-law, Karen Kortman. Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Tammy, and her son, Grady Wilson; his first wife, Amy Kortman and their children, (#1) Jeff and Gayathri Kortman, (#2) Greg and Tracy Kortman, (#3) Kelsie and fiancé Greg Eichenberg; grandchildren, Maya, Chloe, William, Marley, and Anna; siblings, Bob and Marilyn Kortman, Carol and Russ Vanden Toorn, Gary Kortman; sister-in-law, Diane Kortman; Tammy’s parents, Thomas and Karen Rehrer; Tammy’s siblings, Todd and Shannon Rehrer, Travis and Therese Rehrer, Tiffany and Paul Du Bina; and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life services will be held Monday 2 pm at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave, Wyoming, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 1-2 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Gift of Life.
