Johnson Jr., Donald J. Donald J. Johnson Jr., age 85 of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. He was preceded in death by his sister, Priscilla Cahill-Betanecout. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Beverly (Graham) Johnson; his children, Donald (Pamela) Johnson, Ruthann Johnson; step-children, Rick Graham, Kathy Miles; grandchildren, Mark (Katie) Johnson, Jennifer (Adam) Jones, Amy Johnson; 9 step-grandchildren; great-granddaughter, Sophia Johnson; 13 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-step-grandchild. Don served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army Engineering Construction Battalion. He was a 45 year employee of American Seating Co., his only employment in his adult life. Don was a loving family man who loved the Detroit Tigers and even made his own score cards. Beverly introduced Don to the fun of cruising. He became hooked and thoroughly enjoyed his numerous cruises. Through the years the Johnson home became a warm, receptive place for many diocesan priests to come and seek Don’s wisdom. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Saturday at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, with Fr. Mike Alber presiding. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 4-8pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming and Saturday 10-11am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. John Vianney Foundation.

Don, Pam, Jennifer/Adam, Amy and Ruth - our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Don was a wonderful man. Always tried to come to the kids games in school, loved going to the Spartans games when Don took him. He always was friendly and kind. We remember several Easter Dinners with him, Bev and your family. Bob & Becky Swift
