GOODEMOOT- Donald E. Goodemoot, age 80, of Lake Odessa passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Sadie (Fox) Goodemoot; brothers, Francis, Ford, Mike and Rex; sisters, Marian and Toad (Helen); in laws, Keith Fredricks, Sandy Fredricks and Randy Wolverton. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Bernice (Fredricks) Goodemoot; their children, Cheryl (Jim) Valentine, Kyle (Marilyn) Goodemoot, Jill (Rick) Andreau, Donita (Randy) Nurenberg; grandchildren, Alana (Ron) Acheson, Keith (Sara) Valentine, Lance (Kristen) Goodemoot, Emily (Andy) Spitzley, Stacy (Rob) Bryson, Eric (Andrea) Andreau, Jared Nurenberg and Jack Nurenberg; great grandchildren, Logan, Ella, Brady & Sadie Acheson, McKenna, Caroline,& James Valentine, Case, Cole & Kinley Goodemoot, Millie Spitzley, Bobby, Porter & Donny Bryson. Also surviving are his sister, Peg Faulkner; sisters in law, Eunice Goodemoot & Lois Goodemoot; Bernie's family, Roger (Shirley) Fredricks, Elaine (Jay) Wigger, Don (Marilyn) Fredricks, Harvey (Darla) Fredricks, Marva (LaVerne) Kneale, Linda (Roger) Altena & Barb Fredricks. Don was a member of the Lake Odessa Lions Club and served on the Lake Odessa Fair committee, where he emceed the Demolition Derby for years. Known to his grandchildren and great grandchildren as Papa Don or Old Geezer and to the rest of the Lake Odessa community as Demo Don, Don will be greatly missed by his family and the community especially by the ‘Round Table' at the coffee shop. He was known for singing ‘The Lord's Prayer' and shared his sharp wit to the very end. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
