Donald G. Saladin

Donald G. Saladin, age 90 of Rothbury, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie, son, David, daughter-in-law, Julieta, sisters and brothers, Emerita, Leonard, Ethel, Fred. Surviving are his children, Joseph (Donna) Saladin, Theodore (Susan) Saladin, Christopher Saladin, Margaret (James) McConnell; grandchildren, Katie (Scott) Farnquist, Rachael Krause, Madeline Rose McConnell; great-grandchildren, Carter and one on the way; brothers, Peter (Charlene) Saladin, Liguori Saladin; many nieces and nephews. Don proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Don and Rosemarie were married November 16, 1946 in New Salem, MI. He was retired from the Lansing Board of Water and Light. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. The family will meet relatives and friends Monday 6-8pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming and Tuesday 10-11am at the church prior to the service. A rosary will be held Monday at 7:30pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
