Donald DeJager Jr.

DeJager - Donald J. DeJager Jr. was born on September 13, 1929 and passed away peacefully to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Sr. and Louise DeJager; his sister, Amy Lou; his wife, June DeJager and his daughter, Kathryn Rae Van Dyke. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Ann Veldink; daughter, Jacquelyn Liversedge; stepdaughter, Sally Boersma; son-in-law, Jim VanDyke; granddaughters, Jennifer Ishum, Jessica VanDyke, Kaycee (Lee) Hansbarger, Liza (Chris) Jenkins, Lacy (Karl) Muhich; seven great grandchildren. Don was a Master plumber and in retirement volunteered at the Other Way and earned a 1,000-hour recognition award from Holland Home for 15 years of volunteering service. Don and his wife June owned and operated DJ Wood Products in the early 1970's where they manufactured grandfather clocks. They also owned and operated Bath Crest Remolding located on 28th St. SE in Grand Rapids for many years. Don enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska where he loved watching wildlife. Interment will take place at Rest Lawn Memorial Park where he will be laid in a family plot. At this time no Memorial Service is planned due to the pandemic.
