Donald Allen, age 72, of Belmont, MI, formerly of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Alice Allen. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Glenda Allen; children, Cindy (Tom) Droog, Joe Allen; four grandchildren, Anthony and Alec Droog, Balter and Ellamae Allen; and numerous fishing poles and tackle scattered across Ohio and Michigan. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and his immediate family will honor him on the shores of Lake Erie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County (friendshipapl.org).

Don and I fished together many times, he was a good companion, fun to be around, just an all around nice guy. I sure he will be missed by many.
