Domingo Sanchez, Jr. “Pipe”, age 78, of Kentwood passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo Sanchez and Rita L. Solivan. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Zoraida; children, Zorimar and Ronald Johnson, Jaime and Jennifer Sanchez, Glenda Sanchez; grandchildren, Zachary, Gian, Gabriel, Harrison, Aleczander; great grandchild, Blair; siblings, Enrique Sanchez and Hazel Kraemer, Celeste Sanchez and Virgilio Davilva, Myrna Sanchez, Martha Sanchez, Victor Sanchez and Carmen Rivera; in-laws, Nelly Lopez, Iris Rios, Ivonne Cruz; many nephews and nieces and other extended family and friends. Domingo had a caring nature and always put others before himself. He loved his family and found his greatest joy in loving, supporting, and being with them. Domingo will be missed by all who knew him including his beloved dog, Chiqui. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Tuesday, May 23 at St. Joseph the Worker, 225 32nd St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Jose Luis Quintana celebrant. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
