Domingo Romero

Rev. Domingo Guzman Romero, age 88, of Jenison, a faithful servant of God, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mercedes Romero. Domingo was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who always put others before himself. His life calling of bringing the gospel of Jesus was evident to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his children, Ariel (Debra) Romero, Omar (Sherry) Romero; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Eliezer (Orlinda) Romero; sister, Elizabeth Romero. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 3 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Craig Dillman officiating. Interment will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sunset Legacy Foundation.

Omar and family, It was my pleasure to visit and talk with your father at Sunset. Even though he was only with us a short time, his love for the Lord and others was evident on a daily basis. We spoke about his life in Cuba, and how Mercedes and he served others Michigan. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
