Dolores Reynolds

Dolores Audrey Reynolds, age 96, was peacefully reunited with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Edison Christian Home in Grand Rapids, where she spent her last two years. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 22, 1925 to James and Elsie Powers. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Valeria Powers, Lavinia Powers and Sr. Rose Elizabeth Powers; her brother, Melbourne Powers; her grandson, Todd Cochrane; and her great grandson, Jackson Willson. She is survived by her brothers: Thomas Powers, John (Sakiko) Powers and Gerald Powers; her children: Steven Reynolds, Kathleen (Thomas) Schreur, Raymond Reynolds, Timothy Reynolds, Jeffrey Reynolds, Gregory Reynolds and Mary (Ronald) Lovley; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Dolores worked for her entire adult life in accounting, even while raising seven children. In her retirement, she spent time caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, caring for her Yorkshire Terriers, making quilts, crocheting, and making the best German potato salad. She was always humble and kind, her laugh was reserved, her love for her family was beyond measure, her strong will allowed her to persist through every tribulation and loss in life, and her devotion to Christ was an example to us all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev John Vallier presiding. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan.
