Dianne Kay Scott

On Thursday, October 13th, 2022, Dianne K. Scott ascended to be with her Lord and her loved ones. She is survived by her sons, Steve (Holly) Scott, Mark (Amber) Scott, Thomas (Monica) Scott, and Jason (Jessica) Scott. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Patrick (Mia) Scott, Ashley Scott, Zac Riemersma, Cheyenne Scott, Chloe Scott, and Lily Scott; great-granddaughters, Nichole Pierce, Kylah Sobeck, and Everly Scott; sisters, Marjorie (Robert) Klenk, Judith (James) Fitzgerald, Sherri (William) Clay; brother, Thomas (Carol) Hondorp; sisters-in-law, Pauline Scott, Sonya (Don) Olds; brother-in-law, Albert (Linda) Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dianne was preceded in death by her precious baby daughter; her loving husband, Ralph L. Scott; father, Milton and mother, Dorothy Hondorp; as well as multiple brothers and sisters-in-law. Dianne worked as an x-ray tech at Zeeland Community Hospital. She loved to be at her cabin in Northern Michigan spending time relaxing at the lake. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being outdoors. Dianne was also a huge football fan following the Detroit Lions, and Baltimore Ravens as well as the Denver Broncos. Dianne especially enjoyed attending any event that involved her grandchildren; whether it was a football game, band concerts, or plays they were involved in. Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, October 21 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home, and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Dianne will be interred at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grand Rapids. Contributions in Dianne’s memory will be donated to the American Cancer Society EmmyStrong/goldtogether for pediatric cancer research.
