Diane Powers

Powers, Mrs. Diane Powers aged 52 of Grand Rapids, passed into the arms of the Lord while surrounded by her family in the calm of Saturday morning, August 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her, father Frederick Parish; brother, Frederick Parish; father-in-law Richard Powers, Sr. and her sister-in-law, Cheryl Oudhoff. Diane's surviving family who will always cherish her memory, are her Husband and high school sweet heart, James; sons, James Powers, Jr., Joseph (Kristi) Powers, Alex (Ashley Feirick) Powers; grandchildren, Mason and Allie; sisters, Dorothy Watkins, Debra (Don) Yeakey; parents, Joe and Dorothy Reidt; Mother-in-law, Betty Powers; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cindy (Mike) Baker, Wanda Taylor, Darlene (Steve) Bodbyl, Richard (Mary Merriman) Powers, Mark (Julie Buckner) Powers; many nieces and nephews. Diane will be remembered for her love and devotion as a wife, mother, sister, friend and grandmother not only to her family, but to everyone. Spending time with her family and friends meant everything to her. If she was not with family she could be found riding her horse. Diane was also an active member in our community and even worked with Hope Network. Come join her family in celebrating her life 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Belmont, 1601 Post Dr. NE. Her family will greet relatives and friends on Monday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Graveside services will follow at Floral View Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in her memory will be used to help her family with ongoing expenses. Contributions can be left with Stegenga Funeral Chapel.
