Diane Kaye Van Wingerden

Diane Kaye Van Wingerden, age 82, of Jenison, went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Klaire, in April 2023, and parents, Jay and Helen Versprille. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Chris and Kristy Van Wingerden, Sara and Doug Brower; grandchildren, Case and Kerry Van Wingerden, Abby and Noah Lovins, Noelle Van Wingerden, and Chloe Brower. Diane earned her teaching certificate from Calvin College and began teaching at Creston Christian Elementary before starting her family. After her children were in school, she taught at Maple Tree Preschool and touched many young lives during her 22+ years there. Diane was always involved in the church choir and Bible study. She became a BSF leader after attending many years. She was a Kids Hope mentor and was active in many VBS programs through the years. Diane was a fantastic grandmother and loved all the time spent with her four grandchildren. Her diagnosis of Alzheimer’s led to some challenging years for Diane, Klaire and their family. We praise God that Diane and Klaire are reunited and experiencing the glory of Heaven together! A private family graveside service will take place at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Reflections Unit at Sunset Manor.
