Diane Georgina Hill

Diane Georgina Hill, age 81, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Lansing, joined her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Diane was a graduate of Wyandotte High School and Taylor University. She worked as an elementary school teacher, a church secretary for many years, and an executive assistant prior to her retirement in 2007. She also was an award-winning Avon salesperson, a vocal coach, and a camp cook. Her Lord and her family were the passions of her heart. Diane was a Bible teacher and mentor to many women across generations, hosting classes in her home and church. She was also an accomplished vocal soloist who loved singing praise to her Savior throughout her life. She shared her faith at every opportunity with neighbors, co-workers and others who crossed her path. She was a source of wisdom and faithful prayer for a multitude of friends and family.

Diane will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Peter Hill; daughters, Julie Hill and Jeanine and Jeff Holquist; grandchildren, Langston and Violet Holquist; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl Walker, and brother, William Walker.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Trinity Baptist Church, 2050 Aberdeen St. NE, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Brett Boomsma officiating. Relatives and friends may visit the family beginning at 10 am prior to the service at the church.
