Dennis William VanCamp

Dennis William VanCamp, age 68, of Grandville, passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Dennis was a loving husband and brother with a great sense of humor. Even throughout his valiant fight with cancer, his humor was always evident. He retired, after 25 years of faithful service, from the Kent County Sheriff’s Department Maintenance Division. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 24 years, Kimberly (Koster) VanCamp; sister, Izetta and Marvin Avery; brothers, Gary VanCamp, Rod and Nancy VanCamp, Ron VanCamp; mother-in-law, Joan Koster; brother-in-law, Douglas and Vicki Koster; and many loving extended family members. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Peter TeWinkle officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 12:30-1:30 PM, prior to the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of West Michigan or The Salvation Army.
