Dennis Weaver

Mr. Dennis C. Weaver, age 78, entered the presence of his Savior on Friday, March 9, 2018. Dennis will be remembered as a devoted family man. For many years, he was his wife's loving caregiver. Dennis enjoyed life. He was an avid Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan fan. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. For many years, he worked as a tool and die maker at General Motors, and he also served on the Board of Directors at My Personal Credit Union. In his later years, Lil'Bit, the rescue dog that rescued him, became his special companion. Dennis was preceded in death by his wife Karen Weaver, who passed in 2012; son, Rob Weaver; parents, Miles and Jennie Weaver; brother, Curtis Weaver; sister, Marilyn Butler; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Wallen and Margaret Ann Bellamy. Dennis is survived by his children, Tim (Marsha) Weaver, Danielle (Stacy) Vallad; daughter-in-law, Jackie Weaver; grandchildren, Katie, Zach and Duncan Weaver; Mackenzie, Mykayla and Max Vallad; Matt and Kristin Weaver; Kim (Derek) Kingshott; great grandson, Carson Kingshott; brother, Rodney Weaver; sister-in-law, Carol Goudzwaard; brothers-in-law, Richard Butler and Gary Wallen; many nieces and nephews; as well as close family friends for over 40 years, Denny and Diane Brown. The funeral service for Mr. Weaver will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 13 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. Relatives and friends may meet with the family 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday or one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
