Dennis L. Gemmen Sr., age 63, of Robinson Township, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Muriel Gemmen; and the mother of his children, Valorae Gemmen. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Rebecca and Kevin Fitton, Denny Gemmen Jr.; grandchildren, Kim Gemmen, Leo Gemmen, Naomi Fitton, Adelaide Fitton; sisters and brothers, Joy and Ward DeVries, Lester Jr. and Lavonne Gemmen, Pat and Duane Veele, Marcia Gemmen, Rob and Sarah Gemmen; and many nieces and nephews.  Dennis was a hard worker and successful business owner of D & R Concrete. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019, at noon at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf (Allendale), 6651 Scott St. with Pastor Mark Neymeiyer and Pastor Kevin Fitton officiating. Interment will be held at Rusk Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 11-11:50 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Unity Christian School.
