Dennis “Dan” Arden Nevins, age 74, of Jenison, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7, 2025, and was reunited with his wife, Marie, in heaven. Dan was a retired plumber working with Sommerdyke Plumbing. Known as “Big Den” to many,  he enjoyed time with family, fishing, golfing, boating and spending time at his cottage. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Marie Nevins. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jennifer and Joel Keegstra, Steve Nevins, Tom and Tammy Nevins; grandchildren, Kyle Keegstra, Alex Keegstra, Carter Nevins, Cooper Nevins; siblings, Renee and Pat Fortney, Tammi Turner, Terri and Dan Gard; siblings-in-law, Don Rozema, Mike and Lori Doornbos, Denny and Helen Doornbos, Jim and Debbie Doornbos, Linda Doornbos, Mary and Alan Coscarelli; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 13, at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 12, from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
