Dennis D. Maier

Dennis D. Maier, age 70, of Caledonia, passed away at home on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Denny loved his animals and hunting. He worked at Briarwood Golf Course for several years and loved mowing his lawn. He regularly enjoyed going for coffee and visiting with friends at the 76th Street truck stop. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Betty Maier; nephew, Tyler Kroll. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters: Judy (Maier) Crandall, Lynn (Maier) Kroll; nieces and nephews: Trenton Crandall, Marcie and Brandon Vos, Mitchell Kroll; great nieces: Mylie and Brystal Vos, and Isabella Kroll. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.

I am so very sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a loved one. Denny and I went to school togetherand was such a nice young man. He took me, to our Senior prom. I remember he asked me just 3 days before, he was pretty shy. My mom sewed my dress and I remember he commented, so sweetly, how nice I looked. Denny and I did not spend alot of time together after that, but I always felt a special connection to him. I stopped by his house and visited with him one day, we always had conversation when I saw him and we had a nice date once. I have a great deal of respect for him and keep our friendship very dear to me. I am very sad and will miss my friend. With love I say goodbye. Till we meet again my friend.
