Delores Kuiper

Delores Mae (DeWald) Kuiper, age 87, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Delores was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born and raised on a farm in Forbes, ND, and moved to Grand Rapids in 1957 where she met and married her husband, John. She was a 25-year employee of Sunset Communities. Delores was known by many for her love of practical jokes and her servant’s heart. Delores was preceded in death by her husband, John Kuiper; infant daughter, Cheryl Ann; and two grandchildren, Ashley and Emma Kuiper. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Joyce and Scott Boverhof, Ron and Marlys Kuiper, John and Renita Kuiper, Pam and Dave Moelker; 11 grandchildren, Eliese Moelker, Courtney Moelker, Abbie Kuiper, Liam Kuiper, Colton and Josie Kuiper, Brandon Boverhof, Eric Moelker, Jenna Kuiper, Sarah Kuiper, Malea Moelker, Nolan Moelker; brother, Milo and Dena DeWald; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alvin Rau, Norma Kuiper; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, at Grace Protestant Reformed Church, 11225 8th Ave. NW, Grand Rapids with Rev. Erik Guichelaar officiating. Burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday from noon to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at church.
