Debra Chenier, age 73, of Cadillac, formerly of Grandville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 2, 2024. Debra was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and great aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Michael; parents, Kendall and Ardis Lumbert, and her sister, Karen Sessions. Debra will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jennifer and Jason Kruer, Rebecca and Frederick Klein, Nicholas and Katherine Chenier; grandchildren, Meghan and Dakota VanSpronsen, Owen, Sidney, Elijah, Ethan, Ella, Layne; sisters, Shelly Belstra, Rhonda Riemersma; sisters-in-law, Connie and Jim Eardley, Laurie and Dale Rooks; niece, Tara Belstra; loving dog, Harley; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Larry Kirk officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday, December 11, from 4-7 pm and on Thursday from 10-10:45 am all at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
