Deborah Larsen

Larsen – Deborah Ann Larsen, age 69, went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 18, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Larsen; parents, William and Joanne Sutton; mother-in-law, Gertrude Larsen; brother-in-law, Jimmy Larsen.   Deb is survived by her sons, John (Sara) Larsen and James (Jennifer) Larsen; grandchildren, Owen Larsen, Kadin Graham, Koen Larsen, James Larsen, Kinley Larsen, Eli Larsen; brothers, William (Cheri) Sutton; brother-in-law, Jerry (Becky) Larsen; sisters, Amy (Kurt) Eicholtz, Lisa Murray; sisters-in-law, Michele Larsen, Joanna (Kerry) Flory, Jan (Jerry) Asbury; 18 nieces and nephews.  Deb was born on January 24, 1951. She spent 21 years as an educator.  She taught English and journalism at Greenville High School along with overseeing yearbook and the school newspaper.  Deb was an avid reader.  She had more books than the public library.  Outside of impacting her students’ lives, she enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandkids. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Magnify Church, 6727 Kutshill Drive NE, Rockford, MI.  Deb’s family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gilda’s Club of Grand Rapids, the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan, or the American Cancer Society of West Michigan.  To share a photo, memory and to sign the online guestbook please visit www.stegengafuneralchapel.com
