Deborah Kragt

Deborah Kragt, age 73, of Byron Center, Michigan passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She was a devoted wife and mother and loving "Nana" who was gifted in hospitality with a love for baking and preparing meals for others. She often dedicated her time to Apples of Gold mentoring ministry through Brookside CRC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Kragt; father, Donald Tillema; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Andrew and Donna Kragt; sister-in-law, Lynne Jacobs.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kelly and Keith Franken, Ryan and Kristen Kragt; grandchildren, Kennedy, Ethan Franken, Katelyn, Matthew, Alex Kragt; mother, Eleanor Tillema; sister, Jill and Terry Vroegindewey; sisters-in-law, Jennifer and Hank Nederhoed, Valerie and Jeffrey JeanPierre, Brenda Kragt; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.

Memorial services will be held 1 pm Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Brookside Christian Reformed Church, 3600 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Paul DeVries officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 12 pm - 1 pm at the church prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
