Deanna Spencer

Deanna Lee Spencer, age 75, of Allendale, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Deana was a loving daughter, mom, sister, aunt, grandma, and friend. She was a vibrant soul with a great sense of humor and contagious smile who spent her life caring for others and putting others’ needs before her own. She had a love for making memorable holidays and birthdays with her plethora of decorations. She loved capturing those memories with constant snaps and flashes from her film cameras. She was a woman of deep faith and she faced many adversities through life with her trust in God and her Lord Jesus Christ. Yet, even through those dark times she lit the darkness with selfless acts of kindness for family and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by the ones she left on earth as we anxiously wait to meet her in the kingdom of Heaven. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lisa Longoria; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Andrew and Lacey Spencer (Nigel), Kendrah and Tyler Van Dyken (Michelle, Asher), Cody Longoria, Halie Longoria and Dillon Guajardo (Braxton); mother, Grace Hershey; sisters, Deborah Courtney, Joan Williams, Julie and Tommy Thomasson; and her dear friend, Kathy Homrich. A private family graveside service will be held at the Allendale Township Cemetery on Monday followed by a family gathering. Those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the needs of the family.
