Dawn Rider

Dawn Marie Rider, age 58, of Jenison, passed away unexpectedly and was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Dawn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured her family. She had a fierce love and was a protector of her family and that was evident to all who knew her. Dawn was blessed with a servant’s heart and would help anyone out with any need. Love knew no borders with her family and friends. Dawn’s happy place was at her cabin up north. Every Friday afternoon the truck was packed and she could not get there quick enough! Above all, she lived life to the fullest, and her legacy will be forever remembered. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Patricia Moran; sister Tracy; and father-in-law, Jud Rider. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years, Duane; children, Paul and Cara Rider, Elicia Rider, Michael Rider, Zach and April Rider; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; father, Larry Lake; mother-in-law, Diane Rider; siblings, Sandi and Richie Lobbezoo, Debbie Proos, Randy and Sharon Lake, Jim and Brenda Weller, Mona and Tom Corl, Rocky and Katrina Lake, Larae Lake; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law and their spouses; several loving extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, October 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or to Safe Haven Ministries.
