Dawn M. Herman

Dawn Marie Herman, age 57, of Jenison, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garald; former husband, Kenneth Detwiler; brother, James Brink; parents, John and Ellen Brink. Dawn will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Arianna Detwiler and Jeff Holland and their son, Jaxson Holland; her daughter, Kari Rafferty and her daughter, Kylee; siblings, Grant and Cindy Brink, Bruce and Carolyn Brink, Cathy and Thomas Feltenbarger, Todd and Gail Brink, Gary Brink; several nieces, nephews, and special friends, Edie Phillips and Frank Gaunt. Dawn worked as a phlebotomist for 37 years, mainly for cancer patients and was a very caring and gentle person. She enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandson, Jaxson. A private family service will be held on Tuesday, November 3, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Patrick Binish officiating.  Burial Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of one's choice.
