David Wierenga

David Lee Wierenga, age 60, of Hudsonville, MI, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 16, 2021, from a presumed heart attack at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren; and brothers, Dean and Dirk. He is survived by his children, Ashley and Mike Bruinsma, Danielle and Ryan Hibma, and Lauren Wierenga; wife, Pam Wierenga; grandchildren, Kendal, Jake, Kenzie, Taylor, and Noah; mother, Elaine Wierenga; siblings, Doug and Denise Wierenga, Brenda Jo and Dave Huyser; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts, cousins, and friends; special friends, Bob and Heidi Kaminski; and the many friends he made at Kerkstra Precast where he was the skytracker! Dave was an extremely hard worker with a big heart for others and always there to lend a helping hand. He was kind and thoughtful, very sentimental, never complained, loved to watch thunderstorms and adored his daughters and precious grandchildren. He would always end every conversation with “love ya!” (kiss emoji). Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at 6 p.m. at Fair Haven Church, 2900 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, April 20, from 6-8 p.m. at the church. An additional visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local church to help families in need.
