David Wayne Heinicke

David Wayne Heinicke, age 70, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, and is now reunited with his wife, Robin Clare, who preceded him. He was also preceded by his brother, Stevie Heinicke. David was born on May 28, 1954 to the late Charles and Norma Heinicke in Lancaster, Kentucky. As a young boy, his family moved to Michigan where he attended Kent City High School and then went to work for General Motors Fisher Body Plant as a tool and die maker. He retired after 30 years of dedicated service. David was a kind and loving husband, dad, and grandpa who dearly loved his family. He had a huge heart who would help anybody in need. He was blessed with a brilliant mind for inventing things. Many unique items were created over the years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Lorinda and Joe Heible, Jason and Camille Heinicke; his grandchildren, Hannah, Larenz, Jack, Lucas, Brooklynn, Nolan, Jacob; siblings, Phillip and Char Heinicke, John and Trina Heinicke; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate David’s life will be held 11 am Monday, September 23 at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Burial will be held at Idlewild Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Corewell Health Foundation.
