David loved people and will be missed by many friends, neighbors, former co-workers, and special lady in his life, Judi Spence, who brought his smile back after both lost their soulmates. David was born December 31, 1942 in Grand Rapids MI to Faye Pearl and Clyde Pugh. He attended Godwin High School in Grand Rapids Michigan and shortly after married his soul mate, Reba, on June 23, 1962. David and Reba built their home on Indian Lake in 1971 where they raised their children and enjoyed their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He worked at Steelcase as a Chair Designer for 31 years where he held four chair design patents. After retiring in 1997, he discovered new hobbies while also spending 12 years at home diligently caring for his wife during her battle with Alzheimer's Disease. David loved life and woke each day to new adventures. He loved to play music at the Howard City Senior Center, enjoyed woodworking, and special rock hunting. Dave got up each day opening the church for seniors to walk and socialize. Sew Happy Group was even happier when Dave joined as they now had a male member to help with the woodworking end of craft projects. He had just completed 150 small wooden cross necklaces for the church members Easter service.
