David Peterson, age 78, of Wyoming went to be with his beloved wife in heaven on Monday, December 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Joan; father, George Peterson; mother, Mary Peterson; son, Scott Hoag; and sister-in-law, Ellen Peterson. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Chip Peterson; brother, Robert Peterson; and five nieces. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held Monday, December 13 from 5pm to 8pm at MKD Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, 49508. Now you can be with your Joanie in heaven. Go Blue!

Dear Chip, Your Mom and Dad were the best! We lived next door to them for over 18 years. They welcomed us as part of their family, allowing our children to call them Grandma and Grandpa Peterson. Joanie always had the best smile and Dave was always quietly supportive. Dave had the yard that all in the neighborhood were jealous of. I really appreciate the large pine tree with the beautiful lights at Christmas. May you enjoy all the football game memories , the tail gate party memories,and the joyous memories your parents have created. I am glad David and Joanie are together and having a ball.
