David P. Hensley, age 80, of Wyoming, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family. David proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Nellie “Polly” (Van Drunen) Hensley; children, Paula and Gary Leece, Laura and Wayne Clayton, Dawn and Tony Lynes, Kristi and Pete Pols; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; several extended family members. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Bishop Eugene Colegrove officiating.  Interment will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and also on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
