David Mollema

MOLLEMA - David B. Mollema, age 62, of Walker, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, August 5th, 2011. He was born May 25, 1949 in Wyoming, Michigan. David was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Mollema. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Sandra (Cimock) Mollema; mother, Myra Neeley; children, Scott (Christina) Mollema, Kimberly (Keith) O'Brien; grandchildren, Alyssa, Maya, Kyle, Abigail; brother, Michael (Dianne) Mollema; sister, Sharon (Bob) Rhode; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an employee of Canteen Services. He lived his life through his family, grandkids, and when he could be found swinging away on the golf course. He would always lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it and charmed everyone with his loving sense of humor. The family wishes to thank Dr. Steven Huang and the staff at Lack's Cancer Center for the care David received. Memorial contributions may be made to Lack's Cancer Center in his memory.
